Havana, Aug 9 (Prensa Latina) Chaos, destabilization and zero political dialogue in the midst of a health crisis aggravated by an unprecedented pandemic are gradually lacerating Bolivia.
Nine months after the coup d’état against President Evo Morales (2006-2019), the people are uniting in a struggle between the social, trade union movements and the de facto government.
The recent decision to postpone the elections again, as a way to channel the nation’s destiny towards stability and thus efficiently confront the epidemiological urgency, brought to light the selfishness of those for whom the people were never a priority.
In the best «every man for himself» style, Bolivia goes from daily denunciations of human rights violations, collapsed hospitals, corruption, to gossip about the personal lives of political leaders.
The response of trade union organizations is to radicalize protests and blockades in more than 70 points in departments that are key to the country’s economic and social life, such as La Paz, Oruro, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz.
It remains now to wait for the development of this awakening and the longed-for return to national stabilization.
